Electric Dipole Moment of Magnetic Monopole

The electric dipole moment of a magnetic monopole with spin is studied in the N = 2 supersymmetric gauge theory. Dipole moments of electric charge distributions, as well as dipole moments due to magnetic currents, are calculated. The contribution of the charge distribution of the fermion to the gyroelectric ratio is expressed in terms of ζ(3).

Magnetic moment of the fragmentation-aligned 61Fe (9/2(+)) isomer.

We report on the g factor measurement of an isomer in the neutron-rich (61)(26)Fe (E(*)=861 keV and T(1/2)=239(5) ns). The isomer was produced and spin aligned via a projectile-fragmentation reaction at intermediate energy, the time dependent perturbed angular distribution method being used for the measurement of the g factor. For the first time, due to significant improvements of the experimen...

Topological phase due to electric dipole moment and magnetic monopole interaction.

We show that there is an analogous Aharonov-Casher topological effect on a neutral particle with electric dipole moment interacting with a magnetic field produced by magnetic monopoles.

Magnetic Monopole is Photon

It is shown that a photon with a specific frequency can be identified with the Dirac magnetic monopole. When a Dirac-Wilson line forms a Dirac-Wilson loop, it is a photon. This loop model of photon is exactly solvable. From the winding numbers of this loop-form of photon, we derive the quantization properties of energy and electric charge. A new QED theory is presented that is free of ultraviol...

Magnetic Monopole Searches

“At the present time (1975) there is no experimental evidence for the existence of magnetic charges or monopoles, but chiefly because of an early, brilliant theoretical argument by Dirac, the search for monopoles is renewed whenever a new energy region is opened up in high energy physics or a new source of matter, such as rocks from the moon, becomes available [1]. ” Dirac argued that a monopol...
